Thanks to the feedback from my first trial I re-did it - and wiped the steaks dry before putting them in the pan. Also, I poured the liquid from the steaks into the mushrooms–together with some red wine

Sweet potatoes: steamed together with a whole (!) clove of garlic, pressed the garlic into the potatoes together with half a cup of olive oil.
