# Extra part?

In the packaging with my new oven was a doubled piece of rubber measuring 13" x 1/4". Does anyone know the function of this?

I believe it goes between the water tank and the oven to protect the water tank.

Uh oh, I didn’t know that and I think threw it out. Can you post a pic of it? I’m thinking I should recreate it or get it from Anova.

To be honest, it seems pretty useless. It won’t stay in position when I attach the water tank and so I won’t be using it but you should get it as it just may work for you. In my case it might just be user error 😊
