# Heating 2 steaks for rare and medium

If you want one steak rare and one medium can you heat both for rare, remove one, then increase temp for medium? What extra time would you allow for steak to cook from rare to medium?

Such a common question. It’s been asked here many times. Search would probably turn up several responses. But here is the last response I posted to the last time that question was asked:
