# iOS app 1.7 crashes immediately

I just updated the Anova app on my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.4) to version 1.7. When I start it, the app crashes immediately. Sometimes I briefly see the screen after the splash screen, but usually not. I tried removing and reinstalling, and restarting the phone, to no effect.

Same for me on both iPhone 5 running iOS 9 beta 4 and iPad Air 2 running iOS 8.4.

Ah, I also note in the app description, “\*\* We are aware of a crashing issue with this latest app update for some devices and are currently working on a fix \*\*”.&nbsp;

  

Because of the way Apple’s app ecosystem works, it may take a few days (up to a week) just to get a new app version out there - not Anova’s fault. I appreciate the notification.
