I have been using my Anova Vacuum Chamber for more pickling than I had expected. The biggest challenge is finding containers that are not too high for the chamber and hold enough to not be super small batches. Does anyone have some favorites that they use? So far the largest I’ve found is a Weck. I believe it’s the [565 medium bowl](https://weckjars.com/product/565-medium-bowl/)

I just ordered a canning sealer kit for sealing mason jars outside. Am I correct in assuming that the external sealing isn’t appropriate for the pickling or compressing?

Am I overthinking things by always using a glass jar to pickle? Would it be just as effective to pickle in a bag and then transfer to a larger jar?

Would love to know if anyone’s had any joy here: or maybe even if anyone has had a go at 3d printing something that fits snugly into the chamber…

I use pint-sized deli containers. They come in right at 3 inches, and fit perfectly.
