# Precision: why would the current temp not rise while actual temp went insane, ruined food?

current temp said 35; came back and, noticing the current temp had not changed, unplugged and replugged and found the actual temp was insanely high and my food destrpyed.&nbsp;

  

Is this a known bug?&nbsp;

  

Is a return needed?

  

Have only used a few times and worked before. Don’t want random flake-outs though.

Same thing happened to me tonight, except it was while water was getting to temp, so no food ruined. Worrisome.
