# Responding to Comments/Posts

Hey peeps -

Sometimes an **email notification** is generated when someone responds to a post you’re following. To respond, be sure to click “visit topic” in the email. Here’s how:

If you respond to the email instead, two things will happen:

1. Your response will get lost in the internet abyss, or
2. That response bounces to our support email/me/generates a support ticket.

**tl;dr** if you wanna keep the conversation going, don’t respond to an email notification, respond by going back to the community. 🕶
