# Self-grounding?

Is the Anova Precision Cooker self-grounding, or does it need to be plugged into a GFI or RCD? Thanks.

I was using my Pro (before it broke suddenly) in an GFI outlet because of it’s proximity to the sink.

In the interest of keep an accurate description of my problem Anova has taken my Pro unit back and has sent a loaner unit until mine is fixed. According to FedEx this unit is scheduled to arrive on 11/26.

@noahvail The Precision cooker comes with a Type B electrical plug. Thanks!
