When you first get your Anova, just use a few different inexpensive containers to see what works best for how and what you cook. My cooking needs will most likely vary from yours. There are times that I can use a stock pot, a square container, or a rectangle container. I might need a cooler. I have ordered one of the Coleman Stackers and will do a review on how it works as a sous vide cooking vessel when it finally arrives.

I was heavily leaning toward the [Rubbermaid square containers](https://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-Commercial-6306CLE-SpaceSaver-Containers/dp/B077F8K49C/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1512487255&sr=8-4&keywords=sous+vide+rubbermaid) because the [sous vide lid](https://www.amazon.com/Cellar-Made-Easy-Open-Rubbermaid-Containers/dp/B01M3VH3UK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1512487255&sr=8-5&keywords=sous+vide+rubbermaid) fits multiple sizes. Then I found that when I cook for five or six, I want to stand the steaks or chops up using a [rack](https://www.amazon.com/LIPAVI-Sous-Vide-Rack-Collapsible/dp/B00PKGBMBA/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1512487316&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=sous+vide+rack&psc=1) and that doesn’t work well in a square container but does in a rectangle. Now, I’m looking to [LIPAVI containers](https://www.amazon.com/LIPAVI-Sous-Vide-Container-Polycarbonate/dp/B01IFFTX5O/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1512487358&sr=1-1&keywords=lipavi%2Bsous%2Bvide&th=1) but the downside is that I would need [multiple lids](https://www.amazon.com/C20L-AP-LIPAVI-Container-Precision-circulator/dp/B017TMJV8S/ref=sr_1_3?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1512487358&sr=1-3&keywords=lipavi+sous+vide).

Therefore, I have remained undecided and am still using my stock pot or $5 containers from Walmart. There is an advantage to inexpensive containers from Walmart, I can freeze water at the bottom of them for using the ice bath feature and not worry about the container breaking from the expansion.
