Anova Precision Oven Broken Temperature Probe Stuck in Socket

I’m not sure what happened, but the tip of the plug of the temperature probe is lodged in the oven socket with a small metal piece sticking out.

I’ve tried to pull the small part out with a pair of pliers but no avail. The wall will move with the wire and the port so I didn’t want to pull any harder.

Does anybody know any other way to address this problem? This is with the Anova Precision Oven 1.0.

Thanks!

Mine just did the same thing. Gave it a shot of wd 40 and pulled the hard on the wire sticking out and the wire only came out. The pointy end of the probe is still in there. I guess the only option is complete disassembly and HOPE you can push it out from the other side. From the little I’ve seen of it I’m not confident you can. FML .
