boy it would be nice if the app could monitor start bath temp, you can enter start bath volume, what you are cooking and what time YOU would like it cooked and ready to eat! the PC could calculate when to start HEATING and finish just in time to eat…give or take.
I am going to try the ice bath this weekend! I have been using an igloo cooler for a while; this should be a pretty simple setup.

This might work if you were cooking in a well insulated container. I think the ice would melt and everything would be at room temperature fairly quickly if you used a stock pot or similar vessel.
Correct, a metal container would dissipate the temp much faster than a polycarbonate container.This gave me a great idea for the Wi-Fi Anova model. Why not have a probe installed that would tell you (remotely on the app) what the temp of the water bath currently is?
