blanching tomatoes

In a group on social media, there was a post about blanching tomatoes in a steam oven. The instructions were to cut a cross in the skin of each tomato, then cook at 100% steam for 1 minute, then put tomatoes in an ice bath. I wondered if anyone has tried this in their APO.

I use the APO set at 181 degrees F 100% steam to peel peaches and tomatoes. Works great. Just remember that steaming instead of blanching in boiling water may take 1.5 times longer.
