finish before cook?

Has anyone tried to “finish” chicken breasts on the grill over high heat before sous vide?

Nope. Is there a particular reason why you’d wish to pre-sear rather than post?

I have not, but like @Ember, I am interested in why you would would like to do that.

i have heard of searing beef before, sous-vide, and then sear again to finish. not chicken though.
