Do I have to bring my bath back up to temp before adding frozen foods…for example can I put my veggies and steak into bath at room temp water in the morning and at noon wirelessly turn on my anova to a temp just under steaks cooked temp so when I come home both steak and veggies are ready to sear?
In theory, yes…
I would do a trial run on a day you’re home so you know how long your food takes to thaw. If it thaws too quick, put ice in your bath in the morning so it stays at a safe temp until you’re ready for it to start cooking.
You may want ice in the bath first. You risk food borne illness by leaving simply in the room temp water for hours! Anova is re-introducing the ice bath feature in the app, this is exactly what you need!
