The Anova Chamber Vacuum Sealer has a chamber size 305W x 220D x 75H mm | 12 x 8.6 x 3 in.
Sealing bar lenght is 300 mm long (11.8 in.)
The smooth pouches sold on Anova’s shop are 280mm x 250mm | 11.0 x 9.8 in
My question: is it possible to use 11.8 in (300 mm) large pouches or ist is too large?
Thanks for your answer!
I’ve done something similar on another vacuum chamber. I seal a couple cms on both sides and then vacuum and seal the pouch with the food inside.
challenges are to align the three seals, and to fit the excess width without disturbing the vacuum process.
I use 10x10 inch bags from webrestaurantstore. You can get 1000 for about $55 shipped, so about 5.5 cents a bag. Don’t think i will run out soon but I can use them on small items since they are so cheap.
I think the biggest bag I used in mine is 10"x11"
The sealing bar is 11.8 inches, while pouches sold are 11 inches wide. I think, using 11.8-inch pouches might not fit.
