Probe stuck on 319.2 F

Hi. I’ve had my APO 2.0 for about a week. I was about to start a slow cook and I inserted the probe into a piece of salmon, and plugged it into the probe port. The fish was out of the fridge, so around 45 F. The probe shows 319.2 F on the door and in the app and the oven immediately says cook done since that’s much higher than the set probe temp. To problem check, I did the following:
a) Per Anova’s FAQ, I made sure the probe port is not sealed and did a 15-minute 482 F dry heat cook to get rid of any moisture
b) Once the APO was back at room temp, I tried plugging in a few other temp sensors from my smoker to make sure it wasn’t the sensor. The APO immediately showed temps of 280 F+.

Any suggestions? Based on it showing very high temps It seems the APO is reading the sensor wrong since it does it with multiple different probes.

I have not seen this on here that I recall.

Contact Support

You might try placing the probe in boiling water to see if it registers close to 212° F,

Thanks for the response. I did contact them, they told me to do everything I already said I did in the email + unplug the oven for 5 minutes and plug back into a different outlet. Nothing worked. They said they would send a new probe out and to verify my serial number.

Now it’s been radio silence for 5-6 days and they won’t respond. Horrible customer service, I might return it unfortunately, if this is what they are like. I love the oven but it’s a pricey paperweight for all I’m concerned without a functional probe.
