See steam?

Hi guys, maybe a super dumb question but do you see steam in your oven? I see none at all even at 100%. No condensation on the glass, no blast of steam when I open the door or anything. Is that normal? Is there a way to check that I’m actually getting steam?


Yeah, this is pretty normal. I sometimes see condensation on the glass on long cooks, but 100% humidity is not the same as steam, and my oven is working correctly.

Is your water level going down? If so, you are making steam.

Note that the water level will drop VERRRRY slowly.


Thanks everyone. Water is going down and food is coming out pretty good so I’m satisfied. Made a bo ssam which took a solid 6 hours and it drained about 70% of the water tank. Came out great.
