Anova Oven app version 1.2.7 does not pair with oven

Is there any suggestions. Most recent app update seems to have broken pairing. Post selecting my WiFi network, the oven shows connecting, then returns with an error code 151. On the prior versions of the APP, this would work using the suggestions here.

Unfortunately, the oven seems to hate wireless access points rebooting for firmware updates. As a result, my oven loses connections. With this app, I have not been able to reconnect and actually downgraded the oven to a useless mess.

Any suggestions or is Anova support monitoring? They have not responded to chat or email.

Thanks, they have been emailing back and forth with me. Still not connecting which is major frustration since it started after app version 1.2.7

Any progress on this? I was stupid enough to order the 2 after two of the 1s died on me and Anova didn’t seem to care. I got it to connect to my network once, but it never shown on the app, so I deleted the connection and now can’t get it to connect. I get the error 151 and also initially get an app error that my network password is incorrect (it is not). Tried deleting the app, using my ipad, rebooting everything, unplugging the oven. No help. Also, no help from Anova, who has not replied to my emails. I am really regretting buying another. App 1.2.8 16800.

I have been getting daily updates and requests on debugging. Still no joy. Running app 1.2.8.

I am convinced there is a bug in the app pairing flow on the handshake with the oven post connecting to network. Sent anova a picture today to confirm this. Let’s hope this causes a breakthrough.

Just a quick update. Support informed me that there is a new firmware version. To load the firmware, I got a wifi access hot spot from public library as a loner. Connecting to this Hot Spot, I was able to download the firmware and update the oven.

The oven was able to complete the connection cycle with the Hot Spot. However, when disconnecting from the Hot Spot and connecting to my mesh the oven flow will run for a while with an updating animation. Eventually, the oven will chime and finally throw the 151 app connection error. At that moment, the app will return to incorrect password (which it is not).

Waiting now on an update from support based on this new information
