My Anova Culinary Sous Vide Precision Cooker 3.0 stopped working during the pre-heat phase, and now there is a noticeable convex blemish/bulge near the back of the display area.
Context:
- Plugged in the machine and used the display interface, not phone app, 150 F for 1:10 hours, machine started preheating like normal.
- Left it to do its work, came back after the 1 hour to check on it and the water was room temperature and display was black.
- Removed, drained and dried Anova, then attempted to use various power outlets around the house, no power to the Anova.
- Double checked all outlets and power breaker, everything was functioning normally.
- Inspected Anova, noticed convex bulging on the main housing. No other physical marks or blemishing anywhere else.
Things to note:
- Had since early December 2023, bought from William Sonoma.
- Used consistently, at least once a week, usually around the same temperatures and times, never going past 2 hours.
- Never dropped or had physical damage.
- Always stored safely in a clutter free area, and I am the sole operator of the machine.
I am unsure how to proceed from this point. I can’t find a repair shop near me that works with small appliances like this, and I do not know if the warranty would work since its 4-5 months past the 2-year purchase mark.
It’s a shame this randomly happened and seeing others have their machines for well past 5 years, and this was my first sous vide device and I really do enjoy using it.
Does Anova do repairs at all, or is there any way to fix this issue for me?
Thank you for reading!
