There are two different ways to create a recipe in the android app. At least 3/4 of the time I try to create a recipe, the recipe will never be saved and never appear in my profile. It obviously works sometimes, because I have managed to save recipes I created, but I have no idea what combination of voo-doo allowed me to do that. Is there some server somewhat that has to be up for saving a recipe to work? Might I suggest saving them locally then pushing them to the server when it can finally talk?
P.S. Finally found the web interface for creating recipes outside of the app. It worked, but I then had to force close the app and restart it before the recipe I added on the web would appear in the app.
