had the same problem with my anovaā¦there was a strong burnt rubber smell even when not in use. iāve used it 5x hoping the smell will disappear but it did not. emailed anova about it and they were excellent in replying had a new replacement within a week and a half. testing the current unit and it has not smell (fingers crossed)

This is crazy. I have just received mine and havenāt had this experience. Glad Anova sorted this out and glad you got a new unit.
