Precision Cooker Motor Whine

I just took delivery of a Precision Cooker, the current model. I purchased the Anova because of all the good reviews, but how do you put up with the loud motor whining noise. Is this normal? Surely not. Mine comes in at 65db, so louder than a cheap dish washer but a little quieter than a hair dryer.

Is it defective? Or is this just a badly designed product everyone overlooked?

Mine is just barely audible, but then I should wear hearing aids.

I have been very careful to not disturb the circulator motor, shaft or impeller on disassembly / reassembly for cleaning.

I have excellent hearing and can only hear mine is everything else in the house is off. You might want to contact support. I suspect you need to have it replaced.
