Fantastic thread. I had exactly the same question once I started using my Anova for fermentation. So glad to find this – it took quite some searching as Google wasn’t helpful. I may hack around with the Python library to write a program for stepped temperature control. Will report back if I have some success.

In the meanwhile I’m using a socket timer, and it’s a pain in the neck because after each time the device turns off and back on it disconnects from the network.
And not even mentioning the esthetics of using a socket timer to control a high tech programmable device:)
