I bought a precision cooker a couple of years ago. From the very beginning it emitted a strong plastic smell, like something was melting/burning. Btw the unit works fine, I just haven’t used it much since the whole house would start to smell when I used it.
I contacted support and they told me the unit was out of warranty so I decided to open it up to see if I could spot the problem. Looks like the motor has burnt out since it has black burn marks on the windings.
So, I was wondering if anyone knew where to source a replacement motor. Seems like a waste to throw the unit away if it can be fixed with a simple motor replacement. The marking on the motor indicate that this is a YJ58/200 unit (230V). I’ve found a few similar units online but they all seem have different physical dimensions than the ones Anova us using.
