No trouble pairing my Anova precision oven 1.0 with my old Orbi router. It was a three band mesh system.
I had to upgrade my router as my old one was no longer supported. I got an Netgear Orbi 771 also a three band mesh system. Unfortunately I am completely unable to pair the oven now. I’ve tried every trick listed here in elsewhere without success. Has anyone else had success with an Orbi 771 router or is this a new incompatible system?
Well, I had just about given up on this. Simply was not able to make the pairing happen.
Recall, somebody saying something about trying to pair it to a different device than my phone. So I installed the app on one of my iPads and darn if it didn’t immediately pair. I did have to restart the iPad for it to work fully since it wouldn’t allow me to save recipes that I edited until after I did that.
.Then the issue was getting it back to work from my phone. I went back to the iPad and went to the ad user under the more menu. It displayed a QR code, which I then scanned from my iPhone with the app set to connect to another user.
And that’s it. it now works appropriately from my phone. Can’t explain it, but I’m happy to have it functioning again after my router change. This procedure may work in other circumstances with difficulty pairing a Anova Oven 1.0.
