APC keeps beeping

Can someone please explain why the APC keeps beeping, saying the timer is done, after I have stopped it using the app? Here’s how it works:

1. When the timer completes, I get a notification saying that the timer is done
2. I go to the Anova app (iOS) and tap the stop button
3. The APC stops, but…
4. …it keeps beeping, to let me know the timer is done.

This is EXTREMELY annoying and as far as I know, it’s always been like this. Why?

How I love those beeps…

Timer Function on the Anova Precision Cooker

The timer function on the Anova is botched. Accept it, and move on. Use a kitchen timer, an alarm clock, or your phone to tell you when cooking is done. That works, and doesn’t suffer from all the unreliability problems of the Anova.
