I have researched the Anova Precision® Cooker lineup over the past few days because I want to start using sous vide for more consistent cooking results. After reading reviews from trusted sources like The New York Times (Wirecutter), Consumer Reports, and several cooking tech blogs, these two models are recommended the most:
I’m still unsure which one would be the best for me. I usually cook for my family and sometimes prepare larger batches for meal prep. I’m looking for something reliable, accurate, and suitable for both small and larger portions.
If anyone has experience with these models, your advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Good evening! As a current Anova Sous Vide owner I would advise you to not purchase any Anova products. The equipment is faulty and low quality, and the company itself has abhorrent business ethics. They are not people you should support. I’m getting rid of mine this Christmas. Let me know if you’d like more info. Have a nice day!
If you’re cooking for family and doing meal prep, the Anova Pro is worth the extra power and stability it handles larger water baths and stays rock-solid on long cooks. The 3.0 is great too for everyday use, but the Pro’s performance and durability make it a better long-term choice.
From my experience, this product is being used a lot these days and it’s actually really good.
However, if you look at reviews, there are also several other options that have proven to be very good as well. Their price is a little higher, but for home use they perform really well and are worth considering.
I would still recommend this in Anova Culinary because it’s reliable and works well for everyday home cooking.
