How can I connect my Precision Oven to WiFi?

I got the Precision Oven a week ago and I’m impressed. One of the features that won me over is the integration with my phone, using the Android app. The problem is that I cannot figure out how to get the app to talk to the oven.

  1. The WiFi light on the Oven is flashing slowly, which means it detects the WiFi, but hasn’t connected. How do I do that?
  2. The Android app lists four sous vide products but not the Oven that I have. Where’s the oven?

You need to install the “Anova Oven” app. It sounds like you installed the “Anova” app, which is for the circulators

OK, that was easy. Now it’s stuck looking for 2.4GHz Networks. Progress!
Thanks.

Thanks – it looks like the 2.4GHz performance on my router is weak, so a WiFi connection isn’t possible, but I’ll make do.

If you have a dual WiFi router 2.4 and 5Ghz you have to turn of the 5Ghz.
The oven will then connect to your 2.4Ghz network.
