Turkey size?

How big of a turkey or chicken can I cook? TIA.

@Trebor Around a 20lb. turkey (Remove bones & clean) in a 5 gallon pot, covered, should work great ! Split all of the meat from the breast and do not sous vide bone, as it could puncture the bag.

Thanks for the advice.

I have turkey split breasts and a heavy duty vacuum sealer - is it okay to leave the bone on?

Why not use the bones and trim to make a broth or stock for your gravy?

Large turkeys can have sharp exposed bones from the saw. To be safe either double-bag the meat or pad the bone with a few of layers of good quality plastic wrap before sealing.
