While using my Anova for only the second time (first time was for a relatively short 35 minutes cook), the temperature never got up to the setting of 158 F, and steadily lost heat over the last 4 hours (from 125 to barely 100). I re-set the time and temperature, as well as powering the unit off and on a few times, but nothing worked.
Do I have a defective unit?

Interesting. I had quite the opposite experience this evening. All of a sudden, my temperature reading started shooting up and up and up. At one point it read 300 F.
