It took me many tries to get my 2.0 oven connected to wifi/App even though my old 1.0 had been connected to the App/wifi before so I thought it would be useful to create a new topic for people to share what worked for their setup.
My Setup
Router: Eero Max 7 (wifi 7)
iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 18.5 using Oven App version 1.2.4 16232)
APO 2.0
Turned off 5gHz on my router temporarily so only 2.4gHz on (Eero App: settings/troubleshooting/my device is not connecting/my device is 2.4ghz only /temporarily disconnect 5gHz)
Unplugged oven for 5 mins, plugged it back in
Forced quit App on my iPhone, restarted my iPhone. Turned off Mobile data on my phone.
Went to settings on the oven & clicked ‘connect’ WiFi icon
Opened the App on my phone
Selected ‘Connect’ when prompt appeared
It found my network and I entered the wifi password
It connected! Turned mobile data back on iPhone.
I’ve noticed that I have had to do the same (turn off 5 GHz & mobile data) when adding other 2.4gHz devices to my network. It is potentially a wifi 7 router issue in general or possibly an Eero Max 7 specific one.
Thanks for sharing. When you say “Turned off Mobile data”, on my iPhone the option is to turn off Cellular Data. I can do this either on settings for the entire phone or on an app by app basis in app settings. Is this the same what you are referencing as “Turn off Mobile data”? Just want to be sure I’m not missing a key setting. Thanks.
I now have my APO 2.0 working after the firmware problem of August 2025.
However, my app reports the oven is not connected. I disconnected the app, and tried to re-connect and it kept failing.
On a hunch, I disabled WPA3 security on my Eero 6 pro router, and the oven connected and I have a stable connection.
If you have the same connection issues with the APO 2.0 and also have a modern router with WPA3 security enabled, try disabling WPA3 and try again.
Obviously, this is not an ideal longterm solution as now none of my devices can use the more secure WPA3 wifi connection. I have submitted a support ticket and will report here if I get a response.
