Warranty Terms?

I have my second Precision Cooker Pro. The first lasted several years. I purchased this one in March 2026. While untwisting the bottom stainless shroud from the base, the top and bottom halves separated. The top half of the machine separated from the bottom half. Out of the two split halves I dumped out small pieces of plastic and three tiny screws. The plastic is so brittle that I can crumble it in my fingers. It appears to be a manufacturing defect. It is only a few months old. I emailed customer service. Carlo responded, took my info and pictures I provided and said he would “take it from there”. After multiple attempts of not hearing anything back from Carlo, I filed a warranty claim through the website. They responded and said “Your claim has been denied, according to the store’s policies”. What does this mean? What policy? I have continued to email Carlo and included a copy of the denial email from Anova and neither he or anyone else responds. I am trying to get someone to explain to me why this is not covered or even respond to the original email chain that Carlo started. $500 for a machine that lasted a couple months and no response what so ever. Can someone tell me if there is another way to contact Anova? I have seen some various phone numbers online but people complain that they call and leave messages and noone responds to those either. Any help?
